The Huia Pinot Noir gets a lot of TLC. It spends the first year in A mix of new and older French oak barrels developing flavours and complexity after which it is racked off and popped into neutral oak vats for a further 11 months. Only then, once it’s relaxed and matured a little, is it bottled and sent to market.

You’ll find ripe tannins welcome food but the fruitfulness still shines through.

Food Recommendation: Pinot Noir is a magical red wine when it comes to matching with food.

Robust enough to stack up to a game dish, Pinot Noir is also elegant enough to sidle up to a lovely piece of baked white fish or even a salad.
